Rhythm app/software?

Is there an app that will allow me to enter a complex syncopated rhythm with tied notes, then hear it at play back. The ability to vary tempo is important.

The ability to enter pitches would be nice.

I’m hoping for an inexpensive app rather than a complete software system.

Me too, I really suck any more at reading and writing rhythms, need help and practice.

You could use any notation software, and it'll play back rhythm and pitch. I use MuseScore, which is free.
