Double Bass Rib Cracks

My bass has old rib cracks that have been cleated but the old glue has flaked away over the years that was in the cracks so you can see through the cracks. There is no buzzing or rattles so should I leave it be or reglue the ribs with hide glue?

Thanks in advance.

If the cleats are still holding and there is space within the crack then putting glue in the the gap won’t serve a function
