Well, yes…but with a mixer, the separate pu’s could be have effects and more eq on each of them.

True, but through one amp, are you likely to hear the difference?
Of course. I’ve done it for years with one amp with two channels.
An amp with one channel set for the neck pu will sound great…but the bridge pu, IMO, needs a different eq setting.
I use this head many times that way.
