Yes it was in the 70s. White paint, black plastic, and chrome hardware.

Considering the going prices, that's not too bad. You should be able to talk them down into a more reasonable range. $800 is about what those are going for now.

I don't know much about these...but by the looks of the photo, that bass is at a local Guitar Center - best of luck "talking them down" on any bass...

They did come with that tailpiece. The 2000 series had the same body shape but it came with a more ordinary bridge.

As I recall the only real downside to the 3001 was the weight. I still kick myself for selling mine. The price does seem a little high, it depends on how badly you want it of course.

I paid around $1,000 for mine and it's just fantastic. It's very heavy but the tone is just fantastic. I love mine so much in sunburst I'd 100% recommend getting one!
