Speaking of bound versus unbound, the binding on my 74 has actually aged such that it's now more of a cream color. I like it better than the pure white - although I will say that I like both bound and unbound Rics.
I think a cool color for a Ric is the Cremeglo that they used on the Chris Squire sig model.

I have a feeling they're going to sell a TON of them...

If I had the extra scratch to start collecting instruments again (as opposed to weeding them out; as I currently am), this would be one of the first on my list to pick up!

Yep. Place I called said they're probably going to start taking orders this week for them. Said walnut and standard are same price $1349.
No word on expected delivery though
