Rickenbacker twins

Don't know about the story, but the title "Rickenbacker Twins" sounds like an alt-rock power pop group that had exactly one minor hit, soldiered on unsuccessfully for a few more years after musical tastes left them behind, and then quietly disappeared, until someone searched them out for a "where are they now" type TV show, only to discover one member employed scraping lead paint from boats at a Florida marina and another living under a bridge in Ventura, California. Brought back together after thirty-five years, and having forgotten what broke them up in the first place, they were inspired to reform the band, only to rediscover their musical differences and leave music again, more embittered than before.

A local music store once got in an old Fender combo amp that had "Allman Brothers Band" stencilled on it. I asked the salesman if it was legit and they said "I don't know but we will get 3 times as much money for it because of that stencil!"
