I bought this... (Rumble 100)

I have this..

I have not really used an amp for anything but prcticing in many years. I am working on how to integrate the amp and board into a single setup for recording where the outputs of the Finally, Digbeth and the OE Super Vintage can all feed the DAW along with the mic on the amp or maybe the amp DI if micing is not possible.. I don't want the effects on the Finally.

I obviously don't have to integrate them at all, but I am curious how others do this. I suspect longer term, favorite options will emerge and I will simplify the setup. I used to use 3 mics and a DI for sims on guitars until I found the right mic and now I just use 1 mic... We will see... I may use different outs for different basses for example...

What are your thoughts?

I have it, just need to get the signal from the bass to the the various sound sources cleanly. I have the gear to record it once I get to that point

I don't need an amp with 4 inputs. I need the best setup to feed my bass to the Finally, Digbeth, Super vintage and the amp simultaneously in parallel. The board setup currently feeds everything but the amp. I have plenty of inputs to record them all

The simultaneously part is what's confusing. If you need them all to feed the amp simultaneously, you need more inputs one way or another.

I'm surprised you'd want such a colored sounding amp to pair with that pretty high end pedal board you have there, especially that Origin Effects SVT sim. I'd be surprised if either the XLR out or mic in front of the Rumble would improve the sound of the Super Vintage, but that's just my unsolicited opinion. Of course this is all subjective at the end of the day.

Humm, could possibly be done with a dual DI like Radial Duplex or Walrus Audio Canvas Stereo if those are on-hand.

I would look at the EHX Tri Parallel Mixer if I was going to want all the options you want and need though.

Again, I am not feeding 4 devices to the amp. I need to feed the bass to all four sound sources and then those 4 sound sources to the recording device. Finally, Digbeth, Super Vintage and the amp are the four sources

Well, maybe it won't be as good. That's a very real possibility. I got it because need something for a little volume occasionally but why not take advantage of the tool and find out? The board is extremely good and I am blessed to have it. When it comes to recording you never know what will work in a track. Just the experience of experimenting with micing it has value even if it ultimately is not used. Eventually, I fully expect that some parts will prove better than others and the best options survive the crucible. There may not be a good way to have all of it at once. I can just mix and match options to get there. I have been working towards having everything setup and available in the studio to minimize setup time and maximize recording time since there is relatively little of that available and way to many projects to finish...

You need a buffered signal splitter if you don’t want to reamp the 4 signal chains.

Why go with the tried and true when you can complicate the bejesus out of it.

Well that wasn’t terribly obvious. An active splitter will get you into the pedals, but how do you plan on getting those 4 pedals (parallel processed) into your amp?

I think this is where the confusion comes from.

This is the way. Or simpler yet, DAW built-ins for FX and sims

I am totally lost here. I too have a pedalboard that I was considering plugging into my Scarlett 2i2 to record some tracks from my fretless. Why would I need to include the Rumble100 in the mix? My board is simple, with just comp and some mod effects, like fuzz, octave and chorus. I think I will still need an amp sim in GarageBand but nothing else? What am I missing here?
