Rig upgrades from four to five strings

30 Hz is outside of most normal humans' hearing range. The reason audio applications roll off at 40 Hz is because that's the lower limit of the average human's hearing (and thus any energy spent below that point is wasted).

As bass players, I'd expect we're even less likely to be able to perceive sound in that range, given that hearing erodes every time it's used and our ears have been exposed to a lifetime of (often punishingly) loud, low sounds.

I can't imagine what Kevin's six will do...
I've also experienced Link Removed with the HL10 driver at war volume, and they are painfully thunderous.

This pair of T36 was built by my friend Dave Kumph and tested in November, 2007 at the HP Roseville parking lot on a Sunday morning.
Good thing, considering the noise was deafening, even with ear protection.

Caveat for the nit-pickers: the ground plane measurement technique was incorrect.
GP adds +6dB to the response compared to free space, and I did not compensate, so this number cannot be compared to a free space number.

That aside, the pair produces 98 SPL at 25 Hz with 100 watts at a distance of 10 meters / 32.8 feet.
