As far as I can see, the right wrist is slightly bent to the left, fingers are at the same level, fingers are straight, there is no tension

My middle finger is longer so I deliberately use index and ring fingers for repetitive notes. It gives me better control and evenness.

However I use index and mIddle fingers for octaves and double stops (and for DB).
It became natural fairly quickly.

There is a 0.5 inch difference between my index finger and middle finger, I think it's not much

I just tried that for the heck of it. Using index/ring is definitely easier for me to keep even, but it feels super weird and and I can feel a LOT of tension in my ring finger playing just 8th notes. Too much tension. I could probably get used to it, but I don't think I'd ever get any kind of real speed that way which is my entire reason fir using 2 fingers. My ring finger cramped in under 10 seconds of straight 8th notes

I have my bass slung low enough that my wrist is relatively straight. Fingers fairly straight, thumb on the pick-up, sometimes I'll put my pinky on the bridge for an additional anchor point. You can see my profile pic.
