Were I put in the same situation, it's doubtful I'd be able to pull that off!

wowoweewow.....I live by the motto to lend a hand where you can. I don't expect anything in return but more often than not good things happen (or rather bad things seems to stay away). Good on you to lend a hand and whatever you do don't ditch that bass!!!

Sometimes when something is too good to be true, it is. Usually that's when they don't show pics though right away. Until now, I still can't believe it. Perhaps some of you may wonder, why just give away that bass? That is part of Japanese culture. Japanese don't care too much about the monetary value of things if they don't need it anymore and once you get their trust, they'll be one of the most generous people you'll ever see.
Regarding my new Jazz, its, CIJ made between 1997 - 2000. There are few dings and body scratches but generally from normal use. The neck is absolutely a pleasure to play. As a P-bass guy, I find the thinner neck very fast. Action is very low without fret buzzes even when played unamplified. Absolutely fantastic. Everything is stock but I had to replace the output jack with my spare switchcraft. I am also thinking of replacing the pickguard with black to match my P. The tone is mellow compared to my harsh sounding P. Looks like the P is the bad guy and this J the fragile lady
