    He kept me laughing when I was a kid watching reruns of Andy Griffith.

    I liked everything I've ever seen him in, including his movies. I'll still watch Andy Griffith reruns whenever they're on, mainly because of him...

    with props to Ernest T. Bass, of course;)

    Knotts gave so many of us a ton of fond memories... of kerosene cucumbers, the bullet in the shirt pocket and singing in the choir.

    "The Reluctant Astronaut". Whatta sad thing. I loved those guys like Knotts, Milton Berle, Phil Silvers, Red Skelton...the "Mad MAd MAd MAd World" crowd.

    They were a hoot. A mile from swear words and sex situations, and still very funny, if not funnier.
