The Stone Roses were one of the most important bands of my life. I used to play along to Mani's bass lines in my childhood bedroom. 63 really isn't old. That's very sad.

What a sad day. The Roses' first album is a masterpiece and his bass lines were among the first, if not *the* first, I tried to learn when I had just picked the instrument up. RIP.

Not often discussed but definitely influential to many. Some lovely lines, great tone and apparently a lovely fella.
