RIP, kid.

  1. don't know why im writing here, just thought id share...
    2 weeks ago my friend took her pooch out for the morning walk, once they got into the park, she let him off the lead.
    something scared him, and he ran under a fence, out onto a main road...

    Ammo, a lovely, 3 year old lab got hit by a lorry. Lost all his skin on his chest/tummy, lost his right-back leg and was concious for the whole thing. He was always so pleased to meet people, he taught my pup Blue how to wrestle.

    A week and a bit down the line, after a successful skin graft and amputation, they felt he was ready to stand up. His hip kept poping out of place... The suffering and operations weren't worth it.

    RIP, Ammo. :(

    Tell your friend there are others that feel her loss too.

    that's really horrible.

    i know my dog will eventually pass away, but i pray that being hit isn't the way.

  10. ive only spoke to her husband, he was quite choked up today.
    yet to see christine. since her son moved out, the dog has basically been her kid... she's going to be utterly devasted... :meh:

    thx for the words. im not that close to the family, but theyre great people... the whole thing scares me..
