Well, (many unprintable expletives here)... I loved his music and stage presence from the first time I saw him - and yes, he was the first musical guest on the first SNL show. Now, I'll be totally bummed out for at least a week... crap...

Was so pleased that he opened for George Carlin when I saw him in August 1984. Fantastic, just he and his guitar.
