We lost Neil today to brain cancer. He was just about my most favourite drummer. I am deeply saddened especially in that he was six years younger than myself. Doesn’t seem fair!

One of our projection techs toured with Rush doing the 35mm projection they used to do (had to be 20 years ago). He was very much a fan and friend of Pert. Unfortunately, he's also gone.

I'm hearing about 3 1/2 years.

He had retired only a year or so before diagnosis. Awful.

He passed on Tuesday. Wow, his family and friends were able to keep this very quiet and out of the media the past several years. I’m not aware his diagnosis was public knowledge until this evening.

Saw them many, many times when I was younger and even a few times later in life. An amazing drummer, lyricist and a class act all around.
