Ripper ferrels

I want to string my Gibson ripper thru the body, but the ferrels by the bridge are gone. I had the ones replaced on the back, but there is just wood holes on the front and I know the strings will just eat away and get out of tune. Any ideas?

I think the best thing is to go to a repair shop, I moved a couple years ago and I didn't know where to go and so I emailed the Gibson customer support and the same morning I received a list of authorized shop in my area.

do a google search for 'string ferrules' and you'll have your choice of places to get replacements.

they dont make them anymore and i cant find them anywhere. i asked this tech to do his thing and he put in plastic ones that wear down and get out of tune. the originals were rounded metal. help! anyone?
