Rita meter maid

I jsut can't get that bouncy type of bass that Paul has during the chorus. It sounds like slides but there is something wrong with my my attack and the decay of my notes. Frustrating. any pointers would be appreciated.

IMO, it doesn't have to be a Ric as long as you use flats, a pick and palm-mute the strings (or use the Ric's bridge mute). This is another example of things that Sir Paul did which are pretty easy to play if you're concerned about the notes alone, but giving them that character isn't an easy task. Link Removed is an example I've posted here lots of times which I think perfectly demonstrates what I'm trying to say: The notes are easy to figure out and play, but can you make them sound like that?
