Riverhead bass

Just bought another bass unseen. Just these crappy pics. It is supposed to be a Japanese Riverhead active bass, model Galaxy but not confirmed. There are pics of the Riverhead model Jupiter on the net, but the headstock of the Jupiter is totally different. Cannot find any other info on the web, other than Riverhead still exists as a guitar brand producing among others standard P and J basses. Any additional info is highly appreciated! Active since the early 1980s, Riverhead Sound Research is the "electric" branch of the Japanese guitar-making company Headway and its distributor Deviser. The best-known and most distinctive Riverhead models have probably been the Jupiter and the (headless) Unicorn. Various other models have not necessarily been exported to any great degree. Below is a Phantom, which has the same peaked headstock shape as your Galaxy (although the tuners are at the bottom, Steinberger style).

Tks! Looks like mine has the Spector model body and the Phantom neck with that peaked headstock. Those Steinberger style tuners make sense, as the conventional tuners in my pointed headstock forces the E and G strings in a rather sharp angle towards the tuner posts. Note that on my Riverhead the G string is wound from the wrong side by the previous owner. I also think he didn't had a clue how to attach bass strings to a bass tuner...

Hey everyone! I have a strange Riverhead phantombass problem that requires a wiring diagram. The previous owner bypassed the active EQ and the wiring is all janked up. If any riverhead owner could maybe reverse engineer a wiring diagram from their bass, that would be really helpful. I'm happy to pay for this task. Here's the thread. DM me if anyone can help me out! Thanks!

Bizarre Riverhead Phantombass Active electronics problem. I need a hero!
