Well thanks for that, these cases are the bomb! I just ordered my 2nd guitar version for my headless basses and already have one of the bass versions for my normal basses. The guitar version is a perfect fit for the headless and can’t beat it for $89 - so I ordered another one in espresso for my new fretless I just finished.

Thanks… Nah, I’m a bit of a serial maker or extreme hobbyist.

I got a bit frustrated with not being able to get all of the features I wanted in my instruments and I’ve owned a ton of high end basses, and at a cost of $2-5k each. I figured why not just invest that once into tools and learning to build exactly what I want vs someone else’s idea.

So I started building my own in April, with the initial prototype to build some tooling then on to the others. So far, I’ve built 3 that meet my current needs. As they say necessity is the mother of invention.

And then that led to buying a CNC, to see what else I can build

These are now my 3 main players, the middle one is my #1

Thanks… Nah, I’m a bit of a serial maker or extreme hobbyist.

What woodworking experience did you have prior to building these -- finish carpenter/cabinet maker?

for personal use yes. I’ve been a serial maker that’s been building things for years (home renovations, decks, music studio, etc) started as a teen with graphic design, airbrushing Ts, cars, vans, cycles, etc. and then wood signage years ago.

I just haven’t built any basses and/or guitars until now. But I had bought a laser to cut some templates and just started fabricating… Then, had so much fun that I decided to buy a CNC so I’m in the process of building this out in my shop.

Who knows what I’ll create once that is fully operational, maybe even some things for other folks who like I’m doing

I just looked a couple minutes ago. Both the brown and the black are still showing up at the sale price of $69.99. Not sure how long that price will be in effect, but they seem to go on sale every so often anyway. Nice bag. I have the Espresso model.

i've never had the need for a gig bag before as i primarily record but want to pick some up for a move. will these work for medium scale ? it looks like due to the neck holder position that they should, but maybe i'm missing something
