Roadworn jazz bass?

I'm looking to buy one, does anyone own one/what do you think of it?

When I was at guitar center the salesman told me it was "basically MIA", in terms of quality.

If you are looking for a vintage 1960's vibe, nothing in that price range really comes close. Fantastic value IMO. I have owned the Jazz, and own the Road Worn Precision. They are worth checking out.

+1 on the road-worn P bass worth considering.....the jazz should be just as good and better...............

They are total bad ass. The only thing better is an actual Fender jazz bass from the 1960's (if you have a few grand to toss around that is). I prefer them to the MIA models.

I've got a Road Worn Jazz in Fiesta red. It is excellent in all ways. I feel precisely zero need to upgrade. Ed Friedland uses a RW as one of his main basses, which is a pretty good endorsement.

I've got a "08" Fender American Standard Jazz 4 string and a R.W. Fender jazz in sunburst.
Love em' both!
If I "HAD" to part with one of them...................It'd be the made in U.S.A.!
A few years back I had a real 64 Fender Jazz.
The R.W. feels, plays, sounds, and looks pretty close to the 64 I had, difference between them, the R.W.'s neck is stable where the 64's was not.
The only complaint I've got with the R.W., it has the usual jazz bass hum...in spades!

I own two Road Worns, a Jazz in Sunburst and a Precision in Sunburst. I also had a Road Worn jazz in Fiesta Red but I traded it away and I really miss it. Anyway, many years back I owned a 65' Sunburst Jazz that I kick myself for selling...My Road Worn Jazz in Sunburst reminds me so much of my 65' I just cant get over how nice these basses are. I really love the feel, the look and the vibe these basses give...Thanks, Fender.

Yes I do, it's awesome. I string it with Joe Osborn (GHS) flats. I think people get hung up on the MIM factor, but the factory down there is top notch, and they are using higher grade materials with these basses. The alder has been consistently lightweight and responsive, the necks are broken in nicely, and the relic work is not overdone. I have yet to play a bad one, and I've played a lot of them. I wish they'd come out with another color though.

I have a sunburst P, and love it. I put a DiMarzio Model P pup in it, and really dig it.
