Don't hear that much about this guy...really like the way he plays and dig his deep tone....excellent bass player from a great New Orleans groove band.

yes great player and very groove oriented. my only gripe with him is that he's playing new orleans funk and yet he hits on the beat. he needs to lay back behind the beat for that deep pocket.
other than that he's a really killer player and supposedly a really nice fella as well.

I can vouch for 'nice guy' ... met him in London and (somehow) ended up asking him for advice on my trip to New Orleans. He advised Jazz Fest (over Mardi Gras) and that's where I'll be next week. Here's Rob with Galactic drummer Stanton Moore in another NOLA band, Dragon Smoke. (My start point isn't accurate, Dragon Smoke is at 5:50 ish)
