Hello everyone, I'm here to write about something that happened few days ago, and seems like I'm also posting the first thread on the European section!
I took part in something that, unless you came across with it already, you can not even imagine.
I want to really share this with all of you since most of us are here for the love of music.
Anyway, about one year ago, a guy from my town came out with the idea of something huge and never ever done before. Having one thousand people play Foo Fighter's "Learn To Fly", together.
You may think that would be impossible, that he'd never crowdfound 40.000€, but this is what happened last sunday.
985 players, of which 350 singers, 250 guitarists, 150 bass players, and 250 drummers, all playing together our own instruments, having traveled with our own means, under the direction of Marco Sabiu, Foo Fighter's song.
It's been a long day, we played the song so many times I lost count of it, and most of us went home with sunburs all over the body, but one who hasn't been there can not fully imagine the feeling we had playing together, 985 people precisely, hopefully the video will help get close to it!
The video came out yesterday. In one hour, it got to the whole region where I live. In three hours, all of Italy had seen it. Right after that we saw the first German and British websites sharing it, and after seven hours, this happened.
Translation:
"Hello Cesena, I'm Davide (Dave in Italian), hello.
I'm sorry, I don't speak Italian, just a bit, a bit.
This video... so beautifoul, so gorgeous, thank you so much (grazie mille means thanks a lot, mille also means one thousand - get the words play?).
We are coming, I promise. See you soon. Thank you, Thousand. I love you, bye."
So, what do you think about it?
