Rocksmith/Bandfuse...

Hey everyone,

I'm the Executive Producer on BandFuse, just wanted to send a quick note to thank those of you who have picked up the game for giving it a try! The game was made by musicians for those who aspire to play bass and guitar, and we spent a LOT of time ensuring that it's approachable and provides you with the skills to play music outside of the game. We'd love more of your feedback and involvement in our community!! Please stop by the BandFuse forums ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]), or hop on to our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BandFuseRockLegends) to join the discussion. Also, just wanted to let you know that we have a live twitch broadcast happening today from 3-5pm PST - and that 10 new songs are being released TODAY on Xbox Live (Playstation will follow next week).

Come join us, and tell your friends!!! BTW, BandFuse is the ONLY game on the market that teaches you tab and allows you to play 4 player... Enjoy!!

Never knew my thread would get this kind of attention...

Thanks for listening to us Matteo.

Where are your cables available? It's hard to play 4-player with only one cable. I bought your game from Amazon; could you make your cables available there, too? Now, I have two RS cables; if you added support for those as well, that would be super-spiffy.

Just watched a youtube video of both. Being a newbie from a classical background and ukuele having intentionally avoided anything like guitar hero, etc it all looks confusing to me, but interesting nontheless.

Good to see there's an option for flipping the strings on rocksmith. Default looks really wierd.

In this case is either of these games a better choice? Perhaps its better to ask in the context of getting my 11yro daughter interested. She's never guitar hero'd either.

If I had my way they'd just have music score flying by or something like that...maybe a huge sheet of music with a bouncing ball in case you get lost.

Oops, bandfuse is xbox360/ps3 only. Makes that an easy choice (I have neither).

I'm actually pretty ticked at RS now. They pushed out an update that broke things. It no longer recognizes notes about 10% of the time. I've tried several basses and guitars. It's just broken. Very frustrating for the kids to see their scores drop that low.

Then they rolled the useless UPLAY app inside RS too, like I need yet another annoying social media app that no-one uses shoved in my face.

The complete lack of country songs burns me too.

I'm still using it for a few songs I can't find good tabs for, but I'm spending more time playing along to MP3s than I am in RS now.

Shoulda got it for PS3.
Seriously, though,I'm not having any tech problems.
And it is ROCKsmith, not Countrysmith.
And I don't get what the problem with Uplay is. Mine just sits there, doing nothing, (unless I activate it) which is fine by me.

You can buy cables direct from their website. You might also want to look into their "Band Pack" which has two cables, an acoustic adapter, microphone, and 4 player USB hub. (game not included)

Thanks for stopping in, Matteo. Are you also posting in the Bandfuse Forums? I can't remember seeing you there but I may have missed your posts.

Haven't had any problems with the PC version.

I have RS on Xbox and it is working fine. Did you check the settings that work the timing? Maybe someone messed that up.

Coming back to this thread just to post a couple of game capture vids I've created playing Bandfuse. As we've discussed in this thread, both Rocksmith and Bandfuse have their strengths and weaknesses and the clips I've posted below highlight some of the strengths of Bandfuse from my perspective.

One of my favorite features of the game is that you have the option to remove the bass track of the original song so when you play it, you only hear your bass line and not the track from the original song. This allows you to really hear how you sound in the mix...warts and all. Also, the game developers have created various default tones for each song so that the bass tone closely approximates the original bass tone from the song your playing. This is especially evident in this first clip. The song is Pantera's I'm Broken and the bass you hear in this video is mine. I'm playing a Yamaha BB424X just straight into the game with none of my own effects. The over-driven, gritty bass tone I'm getting is the default tone created for this song by the game developers:

Next is the same song, only this time I played it in "Pro Mode" which removes the TAB scroll and allows you to play the song with no guide. Again, its me playing the bass line and includes all my mistakes...especially during one of the fills in the solo where I had to stop for a brief moment to get re-locked with the kick drum:

Lastly, this is a vid (including the TAB scroll) of Pardon Me from Incubus. I'm using an MTD Heir-4 on this one and once again, the tone is the default tone for this song:

I played the above songs on "Level 5" which means the TAB scroll is note-fornote to the original recordings but the songs can be played on easier levels to help learn the songs before trying note-for-note. This is especially helpful to me as I work through Dream Theater's Pull Me Under which is a challenge to say the least!

Just wanted to post a few game capture vids in this thread. I shot the vids using an Avermedia Game Capture HDII.

Hi All -

We are very sad to report that due to events beyond our control, Realta has had to temporarily suspended its US operations. Well there goes any chance of a Europe/UK release then :crying:

Hope Rocksmith doesn't go the same way, I love it just shame you can't record

If anyone is still playing RS on a regular basis, I have been making RS2014 charts by hand/ear specifically for Bass. You can find them at the same place all Custom DLC's live. ;)

I found way too many users were not testing Bass tracks or custom tones and got tired of waiting to see songs I wanted to play.

Most of them are VERY easy (practicing tabbing by ear) but I have about 20 finished and published, Completely off base from the official list. trying to mix up genres but so far Hip hop and rap have been winning the day for downloads.

If you are logged into the CF forums, this link will display a list of everything: Link Removed

If anyone download and plays, Feedback is appreciated!

I admit, when I feel lazy or tired I practice with RS2014. I'm not entirely sure if it makes me better or sloppier. But I rank among the highest 10th in most of guitarcade games so at least it gives me a slight confidence boost :p
