Played bandfuse some more today. Not playing alot right now as I have been away from home and I have some latency with Bandfuse. Its playable but annoying. HDMI and Optical give me latency. Ordered a PS3 AV cable and waiting for that. Likely thew my old one away thinking I would never use it. The latency is odd cause I ran the original rocksmith with no latency even with an HDMI.
Ok some more thoughts:
1. Man it is tough to follow the tab if you are used to rocksmith. The colors for fingers are really screwing me up. Just a matter of time to get used to it, but at first its rough.
2. Scoring. This is pure personal preference but I like the way Rocksmith handles scoring. Rocksmith scores you per song, based on mastery. You could nail a song at lower difficulty, and get 20% mastery. Bandfuse has a different score per difficulty level for each song. (this brings me to 3) I look at this as a negative but many may like this.
3. I like the sliding difficulty of RS. It has so many more difficulty levels and it changes on the fly. If you are nailing a song, it automatically ramps up. Vice versa if you struggle. BF has 3-5 difficulty levels depending on the song. Have to quit out on the song to change them.
4. Lessons: As others have said, no comparison, RS blows it out of the water.
Sounds like I hate BF but I really don't. So far I just think RS does it better. I will continue to play it to become more familiar with tab but RS will get alot more of my time. BF will be nice to change it up. It is also a pain to drag a chair and the bass into the living room to play instead of being able to plop down at the PC with the bass right next to me ready to go.
