Rogue VB100 string/brdige issue

Under recommendation I got some LaBella 'violin bass' flatwounds for my Rogue VB100.
The Rogue stock strings have tiny ball ends so the LaBella and other strings I have tried don't fit into the end of the trapeze bridge (they stick out the back)
Any one else had this problem? Find any solutions?
I was thinking I could get the Hofner trapeze bridge from E-Bay if it fits strings better.

trust me the stock strings on the VB100 have ball end which are about half / 3-4 the size that on regular strings (I owned one of these basses before and had the same issue.
The trapeze has a circular hole at the bottom which you feed the string through and everything except the stock string doesn't seem to go through. When I had this bass before I used Fender flat wounds and two of them popped into the bridge under tension and the other two sat outside.
I ordered a trapeze bridge for a Hofner, hopefully that'll work.

I also posted this on another thread, I swapped the tail piece on the Rogue with a Hofner version and the strings fit on the bass with no issue.
I started playing with the Rogue tail piece and realized there are two nuts on top, when you unscrew them it slides the decrotive part of the tail piece back exposing the holes (allowing strings with larger ball ends to be fitted)
On the bright side I prefer the way the Hofner one looks.

FYI it is still made this way.

Mine happened to pop in when I began tuning it.
