I've been searching for threads about those soundcards but couldn't find anything relevant.
I'm thinking of buying these 2 SC's for 2 different tasks:
1- a regular PC soundcard to use with a DAW: recording, mixing, monitoring, USB keyboard 88 keys, iPad with Drumgenius + Notion + iReal Pro -->Rubix24
2- a smartphone/tablet one to record lessons for students, only need 3 inputs: bass, microphone, and again iPad with the apps already mentioned --> GO:Mixer Pro-X
The PC is a mutliboot W7 pro + 10 on a single SSD 1To + a 2nd SSD 1To and a 4 To external HDD for datas. 32G Ram, old i7 3770 cpu that works fine still. Good and cheap workhorse. Already have a quadcapture, old but gold, problem is it's not updated anymore by Roland Corp. I've done tons of stuff with that soundcard, never failed since 11 years. That's why I'd like to get a Roland interface again. Plus: the customer support in Europe is top notch, you phone them and you get someone to help you (in your native language !) that is competent, problems are solved in a few minutes.
The smartphone is probably the thing that I worry the most: new but really low-end Xiaomi Redmi 10 C, only 4+1 G Ram, so i'm not sure if it will be able to handle the Roland apps for recording...
Any advices about these products ?
