Good freaking GRIEF, that was a crazy game! Probably the best football game I've ever watched. I may need to see about some blood pressure meds after that.

Happy SWEET 16, friends!

I know what I'll be wearing around my Arkansas town tomorrow, including the smug face (this was taken and sent to my sister-in-law immediately after the LSU game to rub salt in the wound)--the most obnoxious shirt I own.

I am an SEC fan, Florida Gators, so I was behind Bama tonight.
I even wore my wife's Bama hat the whole game.
You won't get me to say Roll Tide, but I am glad they won.

This abysmal bowl season (including the semifinals) really needed a great title game to redeem it, and we sure got it! Congrats to 'Bama, major respect to Clemson, and thanks to both teams for playing a game for the ages.

What a game!

I was kinda rooting for Clemson since I lived in Greenville, SC a few years back and I was a little over 30 minutes from Clemson. I dated a girl who went to the U for a while and ended up touring campus and the stadium, etc. Quaint little town, I dug it.

After the prior playoff games, I was very happy to see this was a tight game. Felt good seeing that last score Clemson got in for. It was too little, too late, but that was good for their pride.

That onside kick as the deal maker for Alabama. It was one hell of a call to make.

I'm a UF grad, so I hate Bama when the Gators play them, and I hate Kiffin on general principle. Also, the Dolphins fan in me reviles Saban for what he did in Miami.

But at the same time, I was rooting for Bama last night. And I acknowledge that Saban might be the best college football coach of all time. To paraphrase Alabama's own Drive-By Truckers, such is the duality of the Southern (college football) thing.

That was indeed a really good game. Fought well, evenly matched, went down to the last few minutes. I'm not an SEC fan but I know good football when i watch it. That was a really exciting game!
