Did anyone see this??? And no, I do not think that it "belongs" in DB, as Maestro played Fender Bass as well.
Irregardless- It is a very moving look at one of the GOAT's of low-end.
It inspired me in many ways, so stream it if you can.

Thank you so much for sharing! My station claimed they showed on the 21st, but it did not show up on my guide on my TV.

The documentary is beautiful! It really shows that hardship and disappointment can lead to success. Having a work ethic and will to find a way is something to admire and emulate. Mr. Carter is a wonderful example of how to live life well and achieve.

Carter's line about always looking forward to next weeks "new order of notes", pretty much says everything that I love about playing bass for the 50 years.

RC's impeccable musical skills are evident, literally 1,000's of recordings demonstrate them.
More impressive to me about this documentary was how positively I was inspired by his attitude and philosophy about life, music, and everything in between.
As I'll bet most members here have experienced, there are lots of hassles, obstacles, and issues involved with performing. Getting the right tone & gear, finding compatible musicians to work with, getting gigs, and so forth.

The Maestro has dealt with and overcome all of this, he's risen above it by virtue of hard work and his musical skills.
The fact that he's done this for 80 years now gives me a clear look into what's possible when nothing matters but the music,exemplified when he talks about the importance of playing and placing the right note at the right time.
That says it all as far as I'm concerned.
