    I know he is a guitar player but he uses poly meter, 12 tone row and other stuff classical composer used during last century but in a classical stiff writing style.

    my mind is blown









     
  2. There is no doubt that he is an absolute virtuoso player. My brother used to play guitar and I remember him listening to Ron and trying to transcribe some of the licks.

    Well, that's interesting, but there is a strong 'so what' feeling about it (at least for me).
    I had a composition/arranging teacher in college tell me that you should never have to use words to justify the existence (or placement) of the notes.

    The section based on A harmonic minor that is a repeating pattern of eleven counts kind of sounds like Brian Eno's score to the David Lynch version of Dune.
