I know he is a guitar player but he uses poly meter, 12 tone row and other stuff classical composer used during last century but in a classical stiff writing style.

There is no doubt that he is an absolute virtuoso player. My brother used to play guitar and I remember him listening to Ron and trying to transcribe some of the licks.
Well, that's interesting, but there is a strong 'so what' feeling about it (at least for me).
