...it's what I do for cardio when I'm working out - I haven't been working out for months and I need to get back into, but I've still got my rope. At one point, when I was in good shape, I managed to work my way up to about 20 minutes of jumping rope - I think I sweated about 3 buckets. Right now I couldn't jump rope fpr 5 minutes. One of the best things about it, other than the fact that it's a good workout, is that it seems to be very low impact. I've never had my knees or ankles get sore from jumping rope.

paintandsk8 said:I've been wanting to try this. I put in a request at my local gym that they stock a few ropes, but they said they always get stolen. I just haven't gotten around to buying my own yet. I saw a chart of typical cal/hr ratings for different cardio excersises, I think jumping rope only got beat by rowing.
