Any word on if they are really going to bring them back? I heard people saying maybe they would unveil information at the Summer NAMM, but that's all I heard. I have found one in very good condition at a decent price and can't decide if I should grab it or save my money and hold out hoping there is going to be a new Roscoe Beck V.

I say buy it, even Roscoe's lost hope in the re-release it seems, from reading his forum lately.

Alright, so I've got a chance to pick up a sunburst RBV in pretty good condition for $1200. The only real wear is some small dinging/scratches on both sides of the rear strap button. Nothing too bad, but it's noticabe for sure from a close distance. Other than that, it seems like it's in very good condition. Also, the back of the headstock is signed by the man himself. Should I grab it, considering this, at that price?

+1, if you want one, get it now. You can't depend on Fender bringing it back, and a used one is already broken in.

Hopefully next Tuesday I'm gonna make the payment to get that RBV I mentioned. $1087 out the door and to my home. I'll post pics once it arrives

I was asking this question of a Fender rep just about a month ago. And he really did not have a satisfactory answer. I'd actually like to get a second one. I might string it with some TI Jazz flats to give it a different kind of vibe than my candy apple red bass, which always has Dean Markley Blue Steels on it.

I love my Roscoe Beck V to no end. It's a bass that continues to surprise me with it's versatility. And every time I wind up in a situation where I can only bring a single instrument to a gig, it's inevitably the Roscoe Beck V.

I might string it with some TI Jazz flats to give it a different kind of vibe than my candy apple red bass, which always has Dean Markley Blue Steels on it.

I love my Roscoe Beck V to no end. It's a bass that continues to surprise me with it's versatility. And every time I wind up in a situation where I can only bring a single instrument to a gig, it's inevitably the Roscoe Beck V.

The one I have came with flats, and it was awesome. It totally delivered a classic rock sort of vibe. If I weren't such a sucker for roundwound zing, I would have left the flats on it.

I had one and thought that it was the perfect bass.

I had problems with the neck though, and let it go. I've regretted it ever since.

I've got labella 760FLs on mine right now. Awesome!

I have this model. I put on a factory tortoise shell pickguard instead. Looks really fine.

Yeap, a great bass, and one that I kinda miss. The clarity of the pickups is really something to behold. I share the same birthday as ol' Bill Lawrence (but not the year of course)

Hey Doc!!! It seems like you and I are on the same page with basses lately. I just snagged an RBV tonight. I traded my Yamaha TRB 1006 for it. I have never played one, but have always been curious. Now I know what all of the fuss is about on these.

I was going to trade it to my best friend for his Aguilar AG500SC and GS410, but now I may just keep it. Ohhhh, what to do what to do?
