If there is anyone who may have owned as many if not more basses than Chuck it would be me.

That might be an interesting thought to explore !!! Limiting the numbers to Roscoe basses, how many have you owned?

I only got started about 18 months ago, and I've had 5.

Still have 2 - fretted 5 and fretted 6.
Looking to add a fretless 5.

I think I could be happy with those 3 but I could come up with a couple ethers I wouldn't mind.

Century Standard 5 JB. So, naturally, I'm gonna need a Standard Plus PJ 5 next. Already plotting.

I can't imagine what I'd need from a bass this one can't do...

So there's the downside of creating the perfect instrument...

I could get by just fine with my Century Standard Plus 5. Amazing bass. I "needed" a 6 do to do a few special things. I also need a fretless 5. After that, there's a couple "nice if I can get them" basses but I think those 3 should be good enough.

You can always "imagine" a "need" for another Roscoe.

I've traded Joe out of two of his Roscoe's. The SKB 3006 now belongs to Armybass and I still have the Century 3005 with J/MM pickups. Both are exceptional instruments.

That dude has had some AMAZING instruments. I took two off his hands myself.. Two SKB 3006 Customs. One fretted and one fretless. Both were awesome instruments.

Great guy to deal with to.

According to FedEx, I'm within 48 hours of having my first Roscoe - a fretless 5 that I bought here in the classifieds. I should have it just in time for a quick spin before it's on the gig!

I knew Joe held the record. I haven't talked to him in a while. He's a good dude.

In terms of how many roscoes- ive had two. The first was a beautiful six string that was just a little too big for me( the width of the neck) Sadly I had to sell it.

But now I've got my short scale roscoe and it's NEVER leaving. It is the ONLY bass ive used since i got it. Funk, gospel, blues, folk- It works well in everything. I might have a couple more made if Roscoe still allows it.

I meant basses in general, not Roscoes ..... these three are the only Roscoes I have ever had.... so far.... but since 1984 I would lost county between 300-400 basses and that was in the late 90's. I have easily doubled that and mores since....

Simply, works of art: visually and musically.

Bass and staff are as good as it gets (including Greg).

I've had 6 Roscoes, still own 4.

I've owned well over 200 basses. I now own 5. 4 Roscoes and a Rob Allen.
