Roscoe Club

What do you guys think of the inlays Keith is offering on his SKB and other Custom basses? He’s only offering the oval kind.

I don't personally care for fret inlays (should I even be responding, then? Haha). The Roscoe ovals are an interesting take on inlays, but not interesting enough for me to like them. I think standard dots would look even more out of place on a modern Roscoe, IMO.

I think it's a totally subjective question, though.

I like the inlays, but that is just my opinion. It’s your build so choose what you like.

Oh I'm not getting it on my Buckeye Build. Wasn't really aware he done that option though until I talked to him about my Buckeye Bass today. Said that it should be done this week. Was just wondering what everyone thought of that on Keith's basses.

Tried to pull some audio from YouTube and add my bass "play along" track to it.
Toto - Hold the Line
Roscoe Classic P with TI flats through my REDDI, to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo to GarageBand.
Nice playing, Steve...I need to pm you about how to pull YT audio, minus bass.

Your Classic sounds completely different than mine. Different strings, but sounds like Honey Badger vs Aggie P (solo’d) play a significant role...

Thanks. I didn’t pull minus the bass. I can just pull the full audio. Guess my playing was so good you couldn’t tell. :woot:

Yeah, pickups and strings. I’ve debated replacing the HB but we’ll see. I’m torn on TI’s. I have some DTF that I can dig in with a little more. I have to play with kind of a light touch with these.

Have any of you guys tried the Radial FireFly?
My GAS tells me it would be awesome; my bank account tells me: And?...
I actually had one and used it live for a big Church I played at for a while. It was a great DI and right up there with the Reddi and Khan. It was a little cleaner than the 2 tonally but still that thick Tube tone. It sounded great with bass and Guitar. Just a all around great DI.

GC’s got this one marked down pretty low, could almost be the twin for your p :D

Man!
That greatly tempts me to put my Elite P/J up for sale.
I do have a friend that lives in Lewisville that could stop by the GC and give it a once over.
That bass would also make Steve and I brothers from different mothers!:)
