I privately own and operate a local musical instument repair shop.
I need a replacement fingerboard for a bass I'm working on... specifically don't want one of the currently available ebony replacement boards. I actually have one of them somewhere. Lighter colored rosewood would be okay, or one of the jatoba/Brazilian cherry boards Englehardt was using prior to their demise. I'd be willing to buy a couple.

Anyone know a source?

TIA, Ed of H.

If you’re willing to do a little sawing and planning, any Woodcraft should have them. Mine locally usually has a lot of rosewood boards.
I could... I'm on pretty good terms with the guys at the local store, but that's a last resort. Scratch-making a bass fingerboard with no templates... that's right at the upper-limit of what I'm willing/able to take on. I have a scoop template but that's it.
