Roto swing bass strings killin my fingers

I've had Rotosound 66s on my Telecaster bass since I got it in 1969. Never gave it a second thought. That was my sound.

50 years later, 2 years ago, and I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Jazz Bass with TI flats guy.

It's silk and straw. Sound wise, modern EQ makes it possible to get what I hear in my head.

Got the Hi-Beams , had a dead G string ! they are sending me a replacement ! I appreciate the great customer service , these are a lot brighter and closer to the sound Im looking for in a slap setup !@! thanks DR !~!!
Hi Beams are AWESOME strings. Especially for slap. Great to see DR stepping up. I had a bad string 20 years ago and they quickly sent out a replacement set. Great company that stands by their products.

Exactly as I remember them. Maybe I'll give them a try again. Thanks!

The set that I bought some time back feel much smoother. The wrap wire is also polished. But they still sound great!!! They aren’t quite as bright as I remember, but that might be my old, beat up ears. But happily, that rawness that they had in the midrange is still there!
