Roundwound strings for a Pbass for fusion jazz

Looking for a 45105 set of rounds for my Fender 2017 AmPro Pbass (with stock V-Mod pup) for fusion jazz. Admittedly it is not the most appropriate bass for this genre but this is what's available. Currently strung with Fender 7250s, which are OK but I wouldn't mind trying something else, perhaps with a bit more character. Stainless steel rounds are out of the question as a set of Pro Steels has been quite nasty to the frets of this Pbass. Thanks for your suggestions.

Yes, I had a 45100 set on another Pbass (with different pickup) some years ago and did like them. As far as I can remember: rich bright sound, flexible and relatively low tension, which I like. Perhaps I should indeed try the 45105 set on the V-Mod Pbass for a jazzier tone.

The DR Pure Blues look quite promising, they should be bright and lively according to the description. And flexible too, given the round core. Yes, they do offer a 45105 set.

Oddly enough the majority of my basses have EB slinkys on them because they were cheap.
Now I'm wanting to replace them with the Pure Blues.
I'm always switching the strings with older ones that I've taken off. I don't throw much bass stuff away.

Interesting. They describe the Sunbeams as having a "nickel plated steel" wrap material as opposed to Quantum Nickel, which is "DR's new alloy [that] combines the smooth feel of pure nickel with the punch and brightness of stainless steel." So if Quantum Nickel is an alloy and not just thinner nickel plating, the wrap material could perhaps be 100% Quantum Nickel.

When I first heard about "Quantum Nickel", I assumed it was a type of nickel-based alloy, like Alloy 52 (nickel-iron) and Monel (nickel-copper). I think it was @Jon Moody who said it was actually nickel-plated steel. I could be wrong, though...

Roll off the tone control a bit if you don't like how bright they sound when new. Their midrange complements the p bass "bark" very well, IME.

I had a set of XL's some years ago on another Pbass. I liked them but I'm looking for something more upfront for fusion jazz. Dunlop bright nickels get good reviews in that respect.
