rpland jet phaser adaptor?

Hi,
Trying to use 1 18-volts or 2 9-volts adapter on my Roland Jet phaser (great with batteries, though..., doesn't work - zoom & buzz... Anybody got a suggestion? Thanx...

We've had some threads on this. You need two isolated 9V supplies, as the batteries are providing +9V and -9V, so an 18V adapter won't work (unless you modify its output). The easiest thing would be to buy some battery snaps and use them to replace the plug ends of a couple of individual regulated 9V supplies. Alternately you can use a single supply that has multiple isolated outputs such as the Voodoo Labs PPII. That's how I powered my Jet Phaser.

not to hijack a thread or anything. but as a fellow jet phaser owner i'd like to know if anyone has the original manual or scans or something similar?

I'd appreciate it, usually the manuals for pedals clue me into something in a pedal i didn't know was there, so for this unique beast im hoping for the same.

The T-Rex Pedalpower Jr. does the same thing as the Voodoo, for a lot less if you only need 5 120mA isolated outputs.

Only major flaw is the hardwired power cable.

Yeah, but it's not the end of the world if your comfortable voiding the warranty and wiring mains voltage. Just cut a monitor cord in half and use the male plug. Then you get your power jack, without altering the pedalpower. If it's screwed in place inside, you could probably even send it back to them without much hassle.
