Running multiple combo amps

So I got this idea, not sure if it's been done before.
I was thinking that it would be impressive to create a wall of combo amps for both visual effect and amplification.
How would you go about sending a signal to 5-10 seperate amps?

I think you could use the effects loops...out to in, out to in, etc.

You could use a Voodoo Labs GCX Audio Switcher.

Would it also work with effects out to the input of another amp? Would a line out work for this?

Did that once with Gibson Thor bass amps, six stacked in twos. That was 1969, and I don't have a clue what I did to use all six at once.

I'm pretty sure that the Boss LS-2 can run 3 different amps at once but im not sure, probably worth looking into some kind of pedal though.

Would be really cool to have the sound of 2 different amps, i think Steve Vai does this he has a big rig for his effected tone (distorion and wah etc) amd then a little fender combo that he uses just for clean, just to give his sound more depth

Yeah, I think that it would be an amazing effect to have a huge wall of speakers as well as being able to Eq some seperately from the others to make a sort of natural Chorus sound
