Running Sequencer/Synth Through Bass Cab?

I know this is sorta off topic, but I'm doing an experimental thing with a bloke of mine. We were wondering if I can use one of my amps and cabs (Hartke LH1000 and Hydrive 410) with an analog synth/sequencer. I don't really see there being any problems, but wanted to see if any of you guys have tried anything like this. My guess is it would be similar to running a keyboard or DJ setup through your cab, but then again I've never done that either. Any advice?

You should have no problems. I've seen professional bass players who play both electric bass and keyboard bass, often having two identical bass rights, one for each instrument.

analog synth is pure sine wave, and much more intense,
power -wise than bass guitar .

i learned this the hard way years ago, running an ARP Solus
through my bass rig (crown dc-300 through an EVM-15).

i smoked the speaker in about 6 minutes .

Usually not a sine wave. Sweeping filters on sine waves doesn't give you much motion.

For a big fat synth sound ala "Lucky Man" or "Magic Man" start with a square wave.

If you send signal to the speakers and they can't reproduce it, it turns to heat. Most Bass specific cabs just can't the mids and highs, but add a crossover and mid and good horn and you're set.
