RUSH Clockwork Angels

HOW DID YOU GET THIS? Please tell me the address, to get my Hemispheres cover signed would be heaven...
You have to mail it several days in advance to the venue where the band will be playing. It helps to call them just in case to check and see if they forward mail. I put mine in between two pieces of cardboard in on of those extra large padded mailer envelopes and put a self addressed return envelope inside. I didn't know you could do that until I read about people doing it over on the RUSH forum. Pretty cool if you ask me.
Hey ... I just noticed that this thread has gone to page 56 and post number 1104 with this post. I thought that Talk Bass had a 50 page/1000 post limit on threads? They always close threads at page 50 or 1000 posts and start a "part 2".
I guess us Rush freaks are special.

I don't think it's a rule, but just a typical practice to keep the size of the threads down. We're extra-special.

I'm hoping for another Toledo show, but if not, Grand Rapids it is. I'm so glad to get a second chance to see the CA tour as I missed it the first time around.
I decided to spring for Nashville, even though they're supposed to be in Cincinnati after the European leg. I figure what the heck, you only live once and who knows how much longer they'll tour.
I hope they hit a city close to Atlanta. I'd love to get to see two shows on the same tour! XD
I scored two tix at the Pepsi Center here in Denver August 2, 2013. Pre-sale this morning.
Nosebleed seats, but I don't care. I'll bring binoculars. I saw Rush up close and personal about a dozen times in the 70's, when Geddy could still sing "Temples of Syrinx" just like the recording night after night.
So it's a sentimental journey for me at this point. I know they are still great musicians and put on a great show (even if Geddy's voice has changed a bit), so I'm stoked. I'll sip a beer and toast days gone by.

Did anyone see the Rush show at Riverbend in Cincinnati tonight? I really wanted to go but it didn't happen for several reasons.

I was at the Cincinnati show. It was great. 80's era Rush for the first half and the clockwork angels and the hits for the second half.
I would have loved to see them with the string section. That had to be a unique Rush experience.
The gig at the London O2 dome was immense, I have read criticism about the sound, we sat looking at the centre of stage and where the floor seats started to rise up the bank to the back of the building, the vocals, guitar, keyboards, string section and drum sound was very good but the bass struggled to be heard in the mix .
The light show was fantastic and this was by far the best gig I have ever been to .
