It’s subtle, but very effective. Pun intended.
Which one !!!....Yeah, so personally I just use a Chorus to get that same effect..![]()

BOSS!!! I think it's the CE5 never cared to keep track of which specific one it is. It was a gift, it's a Boss Chorus pedal, and it does EXACTLY what it's supposed to do. That's all I really cared about lol.Which one !!!![]()
Back then people weren't nearly as obsessed over the intricacies of their tone as today. And as to how Geddy had the time.....well he was an internationally famous rock star whose sole job was to make music and put out records. I think he easily found the time.Maybe a touch of phaser with the speed on low? I will have to check out both pedals. Trying to save for a compressor right now. Thanks all for the detailed responses. Always fascinated how musicians get their tone and I barely have enough time in the day to spend an hour on bass. I don't know how these popular musicians like Geddy found the time for all this stuff. I guess back then they had the music producers and engineers to train and help them.
digtech mosaic I believe a detuner. effect that may make that.. or boss ps-3 or ibanez digital modulation delay III
thanks.. for the correction..You want the Digitech Luxe, not the Mosaic.![]()
I've always loved the overdriven Jazz bass in Geddy's tone but can't seem to get close to that. So many factors.
Playing harder but also maybe you need a 70s jazz? That's what Geddy uses. I think Geddy went with Sansamp to replicate the Rick sound on the Jazz without the complicated setups he was using during the 70s Rick days.I've always loved the overdriven Jazz bass in Geddy's tone but can't seem to get close to that. So many factors.
