Rustic/weathered boutique basses

I've seen plenty of guitars like this, made out of old bourbon barrels, barns (barncaster) and one poster here, who's username I can't recall has posted a bass built like this.

I have some really old salvaged timber that is in the garage waiting to have the time to build it into a few guitar bodies. Knowing the source of some of it, a couple of locals are already interested. Most of it I obtained from a friend restoring a heritage home, some offcuts and pieces too small for the original resto work. One will be an HSS hardtail carved top Strat for me.

Not sure if this is what you have in mind, but Rybski has done some interesting and unusual stuff, like this bass from Wooten Woods:

Hoping you guys can help me find what I'm looking for. I'd like to find a quality bass that looks old, natural, rustic and weathered. Not a standard relic, but something knotty, barn wood, holes, etc... Please share any builders you're familiar with that do this type of instruments. Thanks!

This Birdsong stopped me in my tracks today on facebook.

Check out Cindy Guitars and Carmine Street Guitars, both build in the same shop in NYC. They specialize in reclaiming old wood from buildings being torn down, or old bars and bar furniture being torn apart, and other sources of really old reclaimed wood around NYC. Some of their wood is over 100 years old. A lot of it has relics of its former life in a building. They've even gotten wood that was salvaged from a building fire. Their finishes range from "Beautifully Finished" to "Look How Amazingly Weathered This Old Wood Is."
