S-1 question.

I was wondering if the magnets of the fender p bass are different from the j bass. if they are the same. then the only difference is the type of circuit because precision is a series circuit and jazz is a parallel circuit. The S-1 should be able to get two tones from one instrument and should be exact if the magnets are the same but different circuit. please comment.

P and J have different number of pickups, enclosures, wiring, position, magnets, circuits, size. You can tell just by looking at them.
I have no idea where you're trying to go.
