S1 Pot Help!

I was replacing my pickguard and removed the S1 pot with button. During re-assembly, I put the pot back through the guard, tightened it and pushed the button back in, but the button will not click. I removed the pot in tact. What could be the problem??

FWIW:

don't really know what you're talking about but it sounds like a filter button on a presonus QB3 I had that I accidently pushed back in the housing while cleaning - but was able to pop it back out and it was fine. Sounds like this one's not coming back out though.

I have heard this before. Make sure you have not over tightened the set screw on the knob.
