Saddle height adjustment screw size for P-Lyte bridge?

POST EDITED FOR CLARIFICATION:
I need to replace the saddle height adjustment screws in the bridge of a Fender Precision Bass Lyte Deluxe and I am not sure what size they are. The typical screws that have socket heads that use a .05” hex key (e.g., 4-40 3/8” or 4-40 5/16”) are too small in diameter and too tightly threaded. It seems like it should be simple enough to figure out, but I have been looking around online and I’m stumped. I even contacted Fender and they were not able to help because they do not even know what company made the bridges for the MIJ P-Lyte basses. Can anyone tell me what size screws I need to order? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to a good hardware store that sells metric fasteners, and see if you can figure out the thread diameter and pitch. Then all you need is the length. Sounds like they're just a setscrew. If the thread size is metric then the length should be in millimeters too. If the store doesn't have them, you can probably get them from McMaster-Carr or most online fastener stores.

BTW why do you need to replace them?

Not sure if he could help, but there was a TB member, within the last year, selling a P-Lyte... might have an idea, you never know... a search for P-Lyte within the 'Classifieds" ought to unearth him...

... paging @3rdBass...

@JimmyM... saw that you were looking for saddle adjustment screws for a P-Lyte, awhile back... were you able to locate them, and if so, the size utilized?

Oh, and welcome to TB, @Cutter8!

I honestly don't remember looking for the screws, Spidey. I do vaguely remember looking for some sort of screws for a bridge but I don't think it was the P Lyte. Honestly I haven't used it in years. The last time I tried it, I found myself wishing for my regular PJ the whole time. It was fun for a while though. Good bass... just isn't my thing anymore. But I'll darn sure keep it in case I need something super light again.

Oh wait... I do remember now. I ended up needing them for the P light exactly as you said. I haven't a clue which screw I needed though, but I did find them at Home Depot. It was a set screw, metric I'm pretty sure. I would just bring one of the bridge saddles in and ask one of the employees to find it.

Thanks so much to all of you for taking the time to help me. I never thought Home Depot would carry the kind of screw I needed, so I really appreciate the heads up. I also didn’t realize what I needed is called a setscrew, which I’m sure will make it a lot easier to find. Off to the hardware store! I will definitely post to info once I find the correct part...
