I like the idea, but it needs to be flipped upside down so it looks better from our POV.
That's hysterical! Check out the accompanying text:
Last year's was pretty good too. it was tinted green(even the fretboard, anasty green at that) and had a couple holes through it. It looked bloody awful.
I'll admit. I forgot the date. Was just at the Sadowsky website and saw this. I was thinking about the Taylor guitars with the CoolTube preamp and thought the front panel was just an artistic impression of the preamp. But then five pounds? What would anyone want that???
So much for Sadowsky's being under 8.5 lbs. anymore.
Designed to eliminate Neck dive.
Awe man. Too bad its not a 4 string.
Must use a LOT of batteries. And the knobs are too small.
I do remember seeing a company that had a blue Jazz bass that had a custom tube preamp built into it. It was only 1 12AX7, but it was behind a small grill, so you could see it when it was on. I don't imagine it was very practical, and I don't know how it sounded, but it looked awesome.
But I haven't seen it in years, I'm not sure what company it was.
Nice.. I'll take one with a rosewood board!
in reality, definately not a good idea..
however being musicians we know very little about "reality.."
id buy one..
Don't think I'd want 400 volts IN my bass. Just 'feels' wrong to me.
Wouldn't all that wood catch fire?
Man, that would be so cool!
I'm glad they stuck to the roots of rock and made it a 4 banger.
