Sadowsky Gallery (Part 2)

Ok, throwing my two cents in. Need to get some better pics. These don't do the finish justice.

I dont get it! They're Fender copies... whats the big deal? (Real question, not sarcasm)

OK guys. Careful.
Let's not engage with this too much. Let's keep it to pictures.

WayneS- we understand the question and this isn't the place for it. Please do a search. That question has been answered (or attempted to be answered MANY times).

But know this, Sadowsky's may indeed look like Fenders, Roger has said he based them on Fenders, but they are NOT Fenders.

So, keeping with the topic of the thread, here are some more that I used to own:

Jeez, I'm an idiot: I was about to ask 'But Mike, why'd you get rid of such lovely axes?'

Sorry. How's the Valenti treating you?

More importantly: I'm currently saving up my ducats 'til I can afford a Sadowsky myself, but I've never tried a 5-string one. Anyone care to tell me about the neck? I'll be wrecked if I get one and find the neck too chunky. I already know I'd like the neck on a Lakkie 55-94, but ever since one of my friends acquired Sadowsky #4746, I've got the Sadowsky bug.

...Might be worth my while to take a trip down to NYC to try a few things out. Especially since my dollar's worth 1.05 US at the mo'...

Ha!
People ask me that all the time- no worries (not to derail the thread) especially about this one:

But, the Valenti is treating me EXTREAMLY well!!!!
Nino's employment at Sadowsky really shows.

Thats one thing I will say, out of all the Sadowsky's I've owned, each one was meticulously assembled- the fit and finish was flawless, fretwork perfect.
Nino echo's all this as well.

But man Sadowsky has it down to a science.

I needed a new 5er since I sold my Modulus. I loved my Sadowsky NYC Standard 4 so much that I thought I would try a Metro 5. I bought this from Bass Central without ever trying one. I couldn't be any happier. This bass plays like a dream right out of the box. I added the VTC as well. Here she is!

Any big differences between the NYC and the Metro in terms of tone/quality?

Not at all. The sound is huge on the MS5 and plays just as nice as my NYC. Really the only difference is Chrome hardware and no fancy top. Other than that the Metros are a true Sadowsky all the way.

Yup, That was Matt's bass. I bought it back in May.
It looks like it was shipped from Roger's shop it was so clean and not a mark on it anywhere.

Hey, Joe. Is your NYC the bass the bassplayer in Counting Crows was selling? Nice piece

Remember this one Fig from the GTG? Sold her but she was awesome
