SADOWSKY IS THE BE ALL AND END ALL

I'm one that did NOT buy a Sadowsky, but I have the highest respect for them. They are fine instruments. In my case, I love them, but something else spoke to me a bit more and I can only justify owning so many basses.

Having said that, let me add that the post placed here by Roger Sadowsky shows me a thoughtful, dedicated businessman and craftsman who cares about his customers. This is more than you can say for most of the mass-produced houses. Given that, you can be sure that a Sadowsky is the next item up on my acquisition list.

I concur with Bikeplate.

I have never gone on a Fender, Tobias, Fodera, Lakland, Lull, Alembic etc thread and bashed or insulted the company/luthier nor the players who value those instruments.

I have posted that I have tried their stuff and prefer Sadowsky but I never posted one negative thing about them.
At least that I can honestly and sincerely recall. I am above that. And will remain as such.

I was a salesman most of my adult life and the worst way to sell your product is to bash another. Its bad business and shows a lack of respect. You wont find me sticking my nose in a Fender or Spector(or whatever) thread spreading ill feelings.

I too am a big fan of Sadowsky Basses (own 2) And, they have been the best basses I have played ever.

Rodney King said it best "Can't We all Get Along". There is no need to bash here at TB. Especially a fellow TB'er.

Roger and his crew are some of the best people in the industry. They have treated me like I was important when all I am is a regular guy in a band that happens to like what he is doing with a Jazz style bass. Quality Basses, Quality People.

Those of you that have have not had the pleasure of dealing with the Sadowsky crew give them a call or email. Roger himself will talk with you and give you the respect you deserve. Give him the respect he diserves as well.

What has happened to this forum? Personal attacks? Roger Sadowsky having to post to defend himself? From what? His reputation speaks for itself. If you have questions about his product, he or Kevin are a phone call away. We all have phones, right? Just not feeling this thread.

Us who make up Talkbass should reexamine why we post here. To discuss gear mainly. Post are new basses and amps, ask for advice, read about fun gigs, check out some pics and reviews. Why all the negativity?

This thread makes Roger out to be a something less than an Ed Roman!

With a heavy heart, I hope TB makes an about face. The group of people you are criticizing are standup guys and girls. Salt of the earth humans. Not cool what I've read
