Sadowsky Metroline - Extremely Disappointing Customer Service from **Warwick**, not Sadowsky

In this particular case the dealer -Fret Nation handles the customer's issue be it warranty or not. The distributor - W Music Distribution handles Fret Nation's issue if it's beyond the scope of Fret Nation's capabilities or responsibility. The manufacturer deals with W Music Distribution for issues emanating from the factory or shipping. Each entity has its own responsibilities covered by the money you spent on their product.
Thinking that it's unfair to take up Fret Nation's offer of paying for a 3rd party fret job is wrong. Fret Nation took the sale, punched some keys on a computer and went and got a fresh coffee. Please take Jason up on his offer. He has a certainly well deserved reputation and I'm know for a fact he would rather see the OP made whole than keep all of his nut on this sale. It's situations like this that separate the good from the bad in our industry and if your one of the good ones you don't put a price on your reputation.

As i understand it. IFT when performed at the factory shouldn't result in sharp frets, ever. Some one will no doubt correct me on this but fret "sprout" is a normal result of wood movement due to humidity etc. Sharp frets on the other hand did not get filed smooth when the instrument was made. This winter i have had a lot of sprout which has revealed some sharp ends, time to get the file and tape out!

The recommendations in that link don't take into account the fact that your instruments don't know what part of the country you live in.
Unless you're getting a carbon fiber instrument fret ends are going to be an issue in different climates and different seasons. Take care of them once in your area and they should be good going forward. I wouldn't expect this to be the responsibility of the manufacturer as long as it left their shop in good condition.
Hello, I made an account just to add to this thread. I love the Sadowsky MetroExpress bass that I bought, I love the feel and it sound incredible, but wow.... I have I had nothing, but headaches. The quality control on this line of basses is the worse I have ever seen and I kinda wish I did some more research before buying this. I made a post about my issue a while back in their Facebook group and it seems like they deleted it. It's very unfortunate that such a great brand is having their reputation slowly destroyed from this Warwick Chinese manufacturing nonsense.
I took the bass to a friend to help set up after having some major electronic issues that got sorted out by the company and he was shocked I paid over $1000 for this nonsense. The frets were not set properly (you could sneak a piece of paper under majority of the metal), the wires inside were a mess, the action on the bass constantly became mangled, and I am having repeated electronic issues.

With how expensive the Metroline is becoming, close to 4k and sometimes over, if I were in the market for a Sadowsky, I would be looking hard at a USA-made Satin series. I believe they are priced in the low to mid 4k range.
