Sadowsky MV5 and MS5...differences?

So, the MV5 and the MS5 are the same except for the pick guard and jack plate, right?

MV5 = Maple, Vintage 5
MS5 = Maple, Standard 5

I like the look of no pick guard or jack plate for a 5 string. I had an M5-24 but the soaps were a little too modern for my taste. I'm thinking an S5 would be better. Jazzy but not too old school.

Maybe its just me, but it seems the MS5 is a little lighter than the MV5. Maybe its the control plate and pickguard.


Disregard my ramblings:
I like the feel of the pickguard when slapping and would probably put one on an MS5. Or get a MVPJ5 natty or trans.
